Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer, The Home Depot
Carol B. Tome is executive vice president - chief financial officer of The Home Depot. She is currently responsible for all corporate finance matters including financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, financial operations, divisional finance, internal audit, investor relations, treasury and tax. She joined the company in 1995 as a vice president and treasurer.
Tome began her career as a commercial lender with United Bank of Denver (now Wells Fargo) and then spent several years as Director of Banking for the Johns-Manville Corporation. Prior to joining The Home Depot, Tome was vice president and treasurer of Riverwood International Corporation.
A native of Jackson, WY, Tome holds a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Wyoming and a master's degree in finance from the University of Denver. She is an active volunteer in the Atlanta community, serving as the chair of the Advisory Board of The Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund, a member of The Committee of 200 and a member of The National Board of Directors for Girls Incorporated. In 2003, Tome was elected to the UPS Board of Directors, where she chairs the Audit Committee.
