Teri Plummer McClure, Senior Vice President for UPS, oversees the company’s legal, compliance and public affairs activities, worldwide.
A native of Kansas City, Kansas, McClure received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and a juris doctorate degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta.
McClure began her legal career in 1988 practicing labor and employment law in Atlanta, Georgia. McClure represented employers in all aspects of state and federal civil litigation matters.
McClure joined UPS in 1995 as employment counsel for the Corporate Legal Department. In 1998, she was promoted to Coordinator of the Labor and Employment Practice Group and assumed responsibility for Office Management and Technology Administration for the Legal Department. Additionally, she coordinated the company’s relationships with its Core Counsel Network of outside attorneys.
In 2003, McClure became vice president of operations for the Central Florida District. She was responsible for all aspects of the package pick-up and delivery operations and managed more than 4,000 employees. Before returning to the Corporate Legal Department as legal department manager, she also held a special assignment in UPS Supply Chain Solutions and served as UPS corporate compliance department manager.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, McClure is a member of various bar associations and serves on the boards of the UPS Foundation, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Junior Achievement Worldwide, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the Atlanta Legal Aid Society and the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights. McClure also serves as co-chair of the Georgia Supreme Courts Committee on Civil Justice. She also is active with many church-related, civic and professional organizations.
