In this role, Bob oversees the creation of new financial services and products that enable UPS customers to operate more efficiently, serve their customers better, and grow their businesses.

Technology has allowed the convergence of the flows of commerce – goods, information and funds. UPS is recognized as a leader in the flow of goods, and in the information about those goods. Through UPS Capital, UPS is now establishing its leadership in the flow of funds to fulfill its mission as an enabler of global commerce.

Bob brings more than 25 years of financial planning and strategy experience to UPS Capital Corporation.

Upon graduation from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Bob joined United Parcel Service in 1973 in the West New England District.

Since that time, he has held a variety of assignments within Finance and Accounting. Bob joined the Corporate Finance Group in 1989 in the Financial Planning Department, and in 1994, Bob assumed the responsibilities of Corporate Treasury, which included Financial Resources, Investments, Shareowner Relations, Financial Planning and Corporate Risk Management. He also served on the Board for UPINSCO, a wholly owned re-insurance subsidiary of UPS.

In 1996, Bob joined the Corporate Strategy Group, which evaluates and recommends business strategies for UPS. While in the Corporate Strategy Group, he completed the Wharton Advanced Management Program.

Bob assumed his current position in February 1999. UPS Capital Corporation includes sales of financial products as well as Glenlake Insurance Agency, a subsidiary of UPS Capital offering excess value insurance and other insurance products.

In addition to his responsibilities at UPS, Bob is also active on the Board of Trustees for the UPS Pension Plan and Member/Treasurer on the Board of Governors at the Brookfield Country Club. Bob’s hobbies include golf and chess.
