| Don Sheridan directs the development of all finance and accounting, human resources
and automotive systems in use at UPS. These systems include billing, accounts
receivable and collections, payroll, general ledger, procurement and global
employee management systems, including upsers.com, the company’s employee
portal.
Sheridan began his UPS career in 1978 as a loader/unloader in West Long Island,
N.Y. In 1983, he was promoted to accounting supervisor and eventually became
the accounting systems manager for the West Long Island facility and later joined
the company’s district-level accounting group. He has also served as a
controller for UPS district operations in Ohio and New York.
In 1995, Sheridan joined the Information Services group as the user/business
representative for finance and accounting billing systems and later served as
the senior program manager for those systems as well as for accounts receivable
and collections, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). In this capacity,
Sheridan led development on enterprise billing and was involved in the re-architecture
of the billing and accounts receivable systems.
Sheridan assumed his current position in September 2004 and earned a bachelor’s
degree in finance from Queens College. |
