Best Software Integrates UPS OnLine® Tools for Small Businesses

Addition of shipping service to increase productivity for Peachtree® customers
LAS VEGAS, MAY 4, 2004 – Best Software today announced integration of the UPS OnLine® Tools into its Peachtree Accounting 2005 line, resulting in improved customer service and time savings for users. The UPS OnLine Tools join the Peachtree Payroll Service as new integrated services slated for the future releases of Peachtree. Both were announced this week at the AICPA Technology Show.
Long revered as a strong accounting package for small businesses, Best Software is integrating additional capabilities into Peachtree to assist small businesses in managing their operations more efficiently. The UPS OnLine Tools integration will provide small business customers with the ability to calculate shipping rates, process shipments, and track packages all from within Peachtree.

- UPS Rates and Service Selection, provides customers with real-time UPS shipping rates.
- UPS Shipping, allows customers to process shipments and print labels from the Peachtree Accounting application. In addition, customers can send and receive automatic notifications when a shipment is processed and delivered.
- UPS Tracking, allows Peachtree Accounting customers to view up-to-the-minute package status within their accounting software, improving customer service and saving time.

In addition to the UPS OnLine Tools, Best Software announced the availability of the new Peachtree Payroll Service during the show, also tightly integrated into the Peachtree Accounting line. Other related announcements from Best Software include:
- Expansion of the Best Software Accountants’ Network (BSAN) libraries for Premier Advisor members to include CPASoftware® and ACT!® contact management;
- Re-branding of the existing CPASoftware product line, to better reflect the products’ capabilities and functionality for helping accountants better manage their practices and client relations.
