UPS Names New District Executive

 
Frank W. Whalley to Lead Metro New York District

NEW YORK, Dec. 11, 2007 – Frank W. Whalley, a 31-year veteran of UPS (NYSE:UPS), has been named the vice president of operations for the company's Metro New York District. In his new role, Whalley will be responsible for more than 4,600 employees and eight facilities serving Manhattan, the Bronx and southern Westchester County.

Whalley began his career with UPS in 1976 as a part-time loader in the West Long Island District. He worked his way up through the organization, holding a number of positions including industrial engineering and operations management.

From the West Long Island District he was transferred to the East Long Island District, to North Illinois and Metro Chicago and then promoted to his most recent position as North Ohio District Manager in October 2005.
