  • Sep 15, 2017 – UPS was awarded “Most Valuable Supply Chain Enterprise” in Beijing by Media of Business Manage Review. Arthur Lam, UPS Director of Marketing, China District, representing UPS attended the forum of “No value, No business” to accept the prize. He also had a key note speech sharing the innovative values that logistics can bring to business among the famous entrepreneurs, executives and experts from China and abroad.
  • Sep 4, 2017 – The UPS Industrial Buying Dynamics (IBD) study for China was released, offering Chinese manufacturers strategic insights on industrial buyers’ behaviours and perceptions across China, Europe and the United States (U.S.), which provides manufacturers a glimpse into their position in the marketplace and highlights potential areas for improvement and business growth. This is the third UPS-initiated study of industrial buyers since 2013.
  • Aug 18, 2017 – UPS's Global Volunteer Month (GVM)program was honoured with the “Best Volunteer Service Award”(最佳志愿服务奖)in Shenzhen by Southern Publishing Media (南方出版传媒) and New Weekly(新周刊). UPS China South China Freight Forwarding General Manager Caroline Huang accepted the award in the ceremony of "2017 Corporate Social Responsibility" (2017企业社会责任荣誉盛典)on behalf of UPS. 
  • Aug 8, 2017 – UPS announced the appointment of Harld Peters as the new President of UPS China. A UPS veteran with 18 years of logistics experience, Peters will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives across UPS’s package delivery and supply chain operations in China. Peters succeeds Richard Loi, who will be retiring after 26 years of dedicated service with UPS.
  • Aug 3, 2017 – UPS can now ship wine, beer, and spirits (liquor) to businesses and consumers in 10 destinations across Asia Pacific, comprising China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Macau. In Malaysia, only businesses can import wine and beer.  This is extremely relevant to China market as China is said to be the fifth-largest market for wine producers globally, and is slated to surpass the U.S. as the world’s third-largest wine importer by 2020.
  • June 7, 2017 – UPS participated as an exhibitor at 2017 CES Asia in Shanghai and showcased its thought leadership and logistics expertise in high tech industry. This is the second year that UPS joined CES Asia. During June 7-9, UPS displayed the interactive VR simulator of drone’s delivery which attracted thousands of visitors and media to experience. Live broadcasting informative section was also provided by Tiger Liu and Isabel Chen in UPS booth with the introduction of leading trends and supply-chain challenges that local high-tech manufacturers and exporters are facing to, as well as how they stand out among the changes.
  • May 26, 2017 – UPS and SF Holding, the parent company of SF Express, announced plans to establish a joint venture and collaborate to develop and provide international delivery services initially from China to the US, with expansion plans for other destinations. Through this agreement the parties will leverage their complementary networks, service portfolios, technologies and logistics expertise.
  • Apr 11, 2017 – UPS participated as an exhibitor at the 2017 China International Electronic Commerce Expo (CIECE) in the city of Yiwu, China on April 11 and 12. UPS showcased its broad portfolio of cross-border logistics solutions and strong global transportation network to a fast-growing e-commerce industry in China at the CIECE.
  • Mar 28, 2017 – UPS announced the addition of six stations to its Preferred full and less-than-container load (FCL and LCL) multimodal rail service between Europe and China. The additional stations will give customers moving goods on the world’s largest trade lane more options to reduce supply chain costs and better balance cost/time-in-transit requirements. Changsha, Chongqing, Suzhou and Wuhan Stations were added in China to the existing stations of Zhengzhou and Chengdu. In Europe, stops in Duisburg, Germany and Warsaw, Poland were added to the existing stops of Lodz, Poland and Hamburg, Germany.
  • Jan 11, 2017 – UPS was awarded the Top 10 Best Practices of Corporate Headquarters in Pudong (浦东总部经济十大经典样本) by the Pudong new district commerce commission, Pudong broadcast station and Pudong Times. This award is focused on Shanghai's "four centers" establishing and to praise the headquarters of enterprises based in Pudong new district. The enterprises must have strong influence in the investment, management, operation, research and development, innovation.


  • Dec 22, 2016 – UPS PVG Hub was awarded ‘2016 Qualified Enterprise of Public Security in Shanghai City’ by Shanghai City Police Bureau in recognition of its comprehensive security management standard and procedure, outstanding daily security management work. UPS PVG Hub is one of the 8 enterprises to receive this honor in the Shanghai Airport area in 2016.
  • Nov 9, 2016 — As part of UPS’s 14th annual Global Volunteer Month, UPS employees in China contributed over 14,900 volunteer hours toward activities that help disadvantaged children and promote environmental sustainability. The UPS Foundation also contributed US$238,000 toward community causes in China.
  • Oct 13, 2016 – UPS announced the expansion of its earliest morning package delivery service, UPS Worldwide Express Plus®. By expanding its reach to 28 new countries and enhancing service to more postal codes in 25 existing countries, shippers can reach the top 20 economies in the world earlier than ever before. In Asia Pacific, the service was launched in Thailand and Vietnam, and expanded in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
  • Aug 10, 2016 — UPS launched the 2016 Made in China 2.0 Report and service enhancements in Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin to support Chinese exporters’ expansion to global markets. The Made in China 2.0 Report provides a clear way forward for China’s manufacturing sector as it faces growing headwinds.
  • Jul 18, 2016 – UPS expanded its UPS Worldwide ExpressTM Package service, making it available in 117 countries and territories and providing customers with an earlier delivery option to more locations. In Asia Pacific, the service is available in almost 30 countries and territories including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
  • Mar 30, 2016 — UPS Shenzhen Hub was designated as an Advanced Certified Enterprise (ACE) by the General Administration of China Customs (GACC). UPS is the only international express company in Shenzhen to be granted with the ACE status, the highest standard awarded under the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme. This underlines UPS’s commitment to trade compliance and supply chain security and allows UPS to enjoy faster customs clearance procedures.
  • Mar 1, 2016 – UPS expanded its UPS Worldwide Express® service to 23 additional countries and territories, creating an earlier guaranteed-delivery option for customers in locations that previously had only end-of-day guarantees. The latest expansion covers growing markets like Vietnam, which is emerging as a manufacturing powerhouse in the Asia Pacific region.
